Following the success of Princess Cruises‘ Princess Plus upgrade, the cruise line has announced the addition of a new premium add-on package which offers guests even more value for money. Find out exactly what’s included with Princess Premier and whether it may be worthwhile upgrading on your next cruise below.

How much does it cost to upgrade to Princess Premier?

The Princess Premier upgrade is a fixed price of £60 per person per day.

What’s included in the Princess Premier Upgrade?

Drinks Package

The Premier Beverage Package includes everything the Plus Beverage Package does, as well as drinks up to $18 each with a premium selection of spirits, cocktails and wine by the glass.

Multi-Device Wi-Fi

Why stop at one device when you can get unlimited Wi-Fi at sea for four! Then you don’t have to choose between devices to stream, video chat and post photos.

Full crew incentive

No need to worry about tipping, as pre-paid gratuities are included as part of the Princess Premier upgrade.

Speciality Dining

Enjoy two nights of upscale dining at one of Princess Cruises’ award-winning speciality restaurants.

Princess Prizes

Get unlimited chances to win everything from onboard spending money to free cruises. One in five spins wins!

Photo Package

Receive unlimited digital images taken by the onboard photographers and three prints of your favourite snaps.

Is it worth upgrading to Princess Premier?

This is a very good question. It would be very easy to just say yes, however, it’s important for you to consider your personal cruise experience, whether staying connected online is important to you, and how much you will make use of the drinks package. To help you make the decision we’ve broken down the costs and how much you would save versus adding the individual elements together.

What is included with Princess Premier?

🍹 Premier beverage package – Retail price $70.79 pppd
📶 Unlimited Wi-Fi – Retails price $9.99 pppd
💵 Crew incentive – Retail price $14.50 pppd
📸 Photo package (unlimited digital + 3 prints) – Retail price $125.00
🍜 2 speciality dining meals per guest – Retail price $58.00 pp
🎁 Princess prizes – Retail price $20.00 pppd
🔵 Total retail price per day – $156.00 pppd

Based on an average exchange rate you’ll be saving over £60 per person per day by upgrading to Princess Premier versus paying for the individual packages and services once onboard. Not only is the saving an important benefit, you’ll also be able to set sail knowing you won’t end your cruise with a large bill to pay.

Is the Princess Premier upgrade available on all cruises?

The Princess Premier upgrade is available on all cruises of 4 nights or longer duration.

Do I need to upgrade to Princess Premier at the time of booking?

No. If you’ve already booked your cruise you can upgrade to Princess Premier at a later date, although we would always recommend not to leave this too late.

Does everyone in my cabin need to upgrade to Princess Premier?

The first two passengers in the cabin will need to upgrade to the Princess Premier upgrade.

Can children also upgrade to Princess Premier?

Yes, children can also upgrade to Princess Premier. The £60 per person per day price is applicable to all guests regardless of age, however, any guests under the legal drinking age will receive the Premier Coffee & Soda package instead of the Premium Beverage Package.

Should I still upgrade if I don’t drink alcohol?

The Premier Beverage Package also includes fountain sodas, fresh juices (if available), speciality coffees & teas, frappes, mocktails, milkshakes and more. So even if you do not drink alcohol you’ll be able to take advantage of the fantastic drinks selection available onboard.

What is included in the Premier Beverage Package?

The Premier Beverage Package includes a premium selection of beer, spirits, wine by the glass and cocktails $18.00 USD and under, all non-alcoholic beverages including bottled water (500ml only) fountain sodas, fresh juices (if available), speciality coffees and teas, frappes at Coffee & Cones, milkshakes (if available) and Red Bull energy drinks. Bar service charges are included in this package.

The package includes the additional benefit of a 25% discount on the following excluded items: all bottles of wine, one-litre bottles of water, canned soda and bottled juices. A daily limit on alcoholic beverages of 15 beverages over a 24-hour period (6 a.m. to 6 a.m.).
