MSC Cruises‘ 2024 World Cruise departs from Civitavecchia, the port just outside of Rome on the 4th January 2024. Guests can also choose to embark in Genoa on the 5th of January 2022, in Marseille on the 6th of January 2024 or finally in Barcelona on the 7th of January 2024. With all these options guests will be able to disembark in Southampton at the end of their incredible World Cruise voyage.

Which ship will be sailing MSC Cruises’ 2024 World Cruise?

Guests on MSC Cruises‘ 2024 World Cruise will travel in style and comfort on board MSC Poesia. On board, guests will enter a refined world of comfort with elegant design. There’s plenty to delight the senses, from the spectacular foyer waterfall to the Zen Garden, an authentic Japanese Sushi bar as well as the opulent MSC Aurea Spa wellness centre which features a steam room and sauna, as well as a tempting range of treatments. For those looking to stay active during this epic journey, there is a basketball and tennis court, shuffleboard, state-of-the-art gym and mini-golf area. Plus 3 swimming pools, 4 whirlpools and a giant poolside cinema screen, to name only some of the features of MSC Poesia.

What is the itinerary for MSC Cruises’ 2024 World Cruise?

This incredible journey begins with a grand tour of the Mediterranean with stops in Spain, Italy and Malta before heading south to Cyprus and then Haifa in Israel where the ship will overnight. The ship then docks early the next morning in Port Said where guests will be able to take excursions to the Egyptian capital Cairo before re-embarking in Alexandria. Guest will then experience a transit through the world-famous Suez Canal on their way to the Red Sea where they’ll be able to discover the sights of the ancient world in Luxor and Petra. The final stop in the Red Sea will be the port city of Jeddah in Saudia Arabia where the ship will again overnight.

MSC Poesia then heads south to the crystal waters of the African jewels of Zanzibar, the Seychelles and Mauritius before heading to mainland Africa for a tour of South Africa, where the ship will dock in Durban, Port Elizabeth, and an overnight stay to see everything Cape Town is famed for, including the striking Table Mountain. Before embarking on the transatlantic crossing guests will spend an overnight onboard at Walvis Bay, Namibia, at the edge of the Namib Desert.

Next, the ship crosses the South Atlantic Ocean to South America where the Brazilian portion of this adventure begins with an overnight stop in Rio de Janeiro, giving guests plenty of time to soak up the sun on Copacabana beach and experience the famous Carioca nightlife. Stops in Salvador de Bahia and Belém await before something truly unique, an exploration of the Brazilian Amazon. Sailing up the mighty Amazon River as far as Manaus, guests will find themselves in the heart of the world-famous Amazon rainforest. Stops in Santarem and Fazendinha complete this part of the itinerary.

En route to North America MSC Poesia will visit some of the brightest pearls of the Caribbean: Saint Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, Dominican Republic and The Bahamas, including MSC Cruises’ private island, Ocean Cay. Once in North America, overnights in Miami, Florida and New York City await, before continuing north to Nova Scotia and Quebec in Canada. On the way back home, the stunning destinations continue with ports of call in Greenland and Iceland before arriving in Southampton to complete this once in a lifetime adventure.
