Where Will Explora Journeys ships visit?
Over the next two years starting in May 2023, Explora Journeys will sail worldwide, visiting exciting destinations such as the Mediterranean, the Fjords, the UK, North & South America, the Caribbean and Hawaii. So if one of these destinations is on your bucket list then Explora Journeys is the perfect way to see and explore places you have always wanted to go, in luxury style.
Which international countries will Explora I visit first?
The inaugural journey on Explora I starts in Barcelona on the 31st of May 2023 and lasts for 11 nights, finishing at the historic city of Athens in Greece. After departing Barcelona, Explora I will head over to Saint Tropez, famous for its wonderful beaches and nightlife. A visit to Rome shortly follows, a city impossible not to fall in love with. Home to the Colosseum, Michelangelo, Trevi Fountain and of course some of the best food in the world, what more could you want.
After Rome Explora I heads to Istanbul via a stop at Kefalonia, where you will stay overnight which gives you plenty of time to explore the Hagia Sophia and The Blue Mosque, two staggering mosques that date back to the Roman Empire and Ottoman Empire respectively. The cruise finishes in Athens, where you could extend your holiday and spend a few days exploring this beautiful greek city and the many sights that it has to offer. It is a great inaugural itinerary and is an excellent example of the exciting itineraries that Explora Journeys will offer.
Will Explora Journeys have UK Itineraries?
If you are after something closer to home, then on the 24th of August 2023 Explora I will embark on its inaugural United Kingdom journey from Southampton to Glasgow. The first port of call is Edinburgh, where you will stay overnight. Edinburgh is a fantastic city where you can find the most besieged castle in Europe, at the heart of Edinburgh’s old town is The Royal Mile and the birthplace of the Harry Potter novels. If you are feeling active you can walk up to the top of Arthurs Seat where you can take in the views right across the city, this is not a view to be missed. Explora I then heads back south to Newcastle before going to Invergordon and Stornoway, the largest town in the Outer Hebrides. The cruise finishes with stops at Oban, Liverpool, home to The Beatles, and finally Glasgow.
Will Explora Journeys sail to the Caribbean?
Later in 2023, in November you will find Explora I in the Caribbean, soaking up the sun. The Caribbean Escapes in European Outposts itinerary is one that really excites us. Departing on the 17th of November from Miami for 10 nights, Explora I will sail around the Caribbean, in the turquoise waters before finishing on the 27th in Barbados. The journey starts with a quick trip down south to Key West, known for its coral reefs, destination diving and being home to Ernest Hemingway’s house. The sun only gets brighter as you sail south to the British Virgin Islands and St Barth’s, home to the rich and famous.
The delights of this itinerary continue in Antigua, Guadeloupe and St Kitts, before arriving at the penultimate destination, St Lucia, where you can make your own chocolate at Hotel Chocolate or drive into a volcano. Those feeling particularly adventurous can even hike around the world-famous Piton mountains. The adventure finishes in ‘Little Britain’, not the TV show, but Barbados, a destination so popular with the Brits. This is the perfect place to add a few nights onto the end of your holiday whilst you make the most of the turquoise waters and white sand beaches on the west coast.
These three itineraries are just a tiny taste of what’s more to come from the amazing trips that Explora Journeys will have to offer, so if you want a luxury holiday to somewhere different, there will definitely be something for you.
