Welcome to Great Stirrup Cay, located on the northern edge of the Bahamas’ Berry Islands, Norwegian Cruise Line’s original private island is steeped in history. From pirate hideout to military base, Great Stirrup Cay has a rich maritime heritage, however nowadays it’s firmly a Caribbean cruiser’s paradise. This idyllic 250-acre private island sanctuary is exclusive to Norwegian Cruise Line guests and features much more than just beautiful white-sand beaches; there are endless opportunities for fun and relaxation in the Bahamian sun.
What are the highlights of Great Stirrup Cay?
Ever dreamt of swimming with pigs on a deserted Caribbean beach? Well, if you have enough money saved up in your piggy bank you can go the whole hog and take a 10-minute boat ride to Treasure Island. There you’ll be able to jump in the water and have a swim with your new four-legged friends.
If you’re not looking to snorkel among the marine life surrounding the island, take a kayak tour, or even parasail along this stunning coastline, simply order a daiquiri, lie back in a hammock under some shady palm dreams and enjoy life on your Caribbean island paradise.
