Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans certainly pack a punch when it comes to musical and culinary delights, so we’ve put together some of the most popular tours and activities available through our preferred partner GetYourGuide whilst you’re visiting these incredible cities in Tennessee and Louisiana.
New Orleans Tours & Entry Tickets
Welcome to the “Big Easy”! This sweaty, sultry Southern town nestled in the Mississippi River’s crescent is more than just Bourbon Street. New Orleans is the cradle of American music, satisfying all tastes from jazz to rock and even sludge metal. If you are looking to watch the Mardi Gras parades it is well worth taking a walk to the Lower Garden District where you’ll have a more family-friendly and relaxed experience compared to the more raucous atmosphere closer to Bourbon St.
The city’s cuisine is a mix of Caribbean, African and European influences that make it truly unique, from a cup of coffee and beignets at Cafe du Monde just by Jackson Square, to the epic Po’ Boys served up at Mother’s Restaurant on Poydras St, you’ll want to wait until you’re home to start that diet! Check out Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, the this Memphis institution now also has a location in New Orleans’s warehouse district, trust us this is the best fried chicken you’ll ever eat!
History buffs will want to stop by the new National WWII Museum which tells the story of the American experience in the war that changed the world, with a host of interactive exhibits including submarines, planes and even a 4-D theatre. If you’re looking to set sail on a traditional paddle steamer make sure to book your space on an evening jazz cruise as soon as possible as there are limited times available over the final Mardi Gras weekend.

Memphis Tours & Entry Tickets
Whether it’s the throb of blues guitars on the legendary Beale Street, or the home of The King himself, Graceland, which has attracted you to Memphis, we’re sure that music lovers alike will revel in the city’s unique vibe. There are plenty of museums to keep you occupied however our top pick has to be the National Civil Rights Museum, the historic site of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination at the Lorraine Motel showcases the poignant history of the Civil Rights Movement and its impact on our culture today.
If you’re looking to get your live music fix head down to Beale St. B.B. King’s Blues Club is undoubtedly the most popular joint however there are plenty of alternatives such as Kings Palace, which many locals will tell you serves the best BBQ food on Beale St, however in our honest opinion, and after plenty of research, we concluded that Central BBQ, just a couple of blocks away from Memphis train station is the best for Memphis style BBQ. It is also conveniently located a short walk from the Wiseacre Brewery taproom which features a regularly updated menu of locally brewed beers.
Here are just some of the city’s top attractions, although those looking to visit Graceland should contact us directly to pre-order your tickets. If you’re looking for a meat fix then we’d highly recommend checking out Martin’s BBQ located just a block away from the Country Music Hall of Fame.
