HX Expeditions
Embark on an all-inclusive expedition cruise with HX Expeditions. Since 1896, they’ve guided curious travellers to the world’s most remote wonders, combining expert-led landings with small-ship comfort and a lighter footprint designed to change how you see our extraordinary blue planet.
Why Sail with HX Expeditions?
HX Expeditions takes curious explorers beyond the familiar, into Antarctica’s ice-filled channels, Svalbard’s polar wilderness, Greenland’s immense fjords and the wildlife-rich Galápagos. Guided by an expert Expedition Team, each voyage follows nature rather than a rigid timetable, using small expedition boats and landings to bring you closer whenever conditions allow. Back onboard, Science Centres, all-inclusive dining and warm Scandinavian comfort turn extraordinary encounters into a deeper understanding of our planet.

Wild Places Few Experience
HX journeys to the edges of the map, from immense Antarctic icebergs and penguin colonies to the glaciers of Greenland, the polar wilderness of Svalbard and the extraordinary wildlife of the Galápagos. Flexible expedition planning allows the team to respond to the landscape, wildlife and conditions, creating moments that no fixed sightseeing schedule could guarantee.

All-Inclusive Expedition
HX’s all-inclusive approach brings together onboard dining, selected drinks, gratuities, Wi-Fi, expert lectures and planned expedition activities. Many voyages also include a wind and water-resistant expedition jacket, equipment for selected landings and professional photographs from the onboard photographer. Exact inclusions, flights and land arrangements vary by itinerary.

Experts at Every Step
Each voyage is guided by an Expedition Team whose expertise can span marine biology, glaciology, history, geology, photography and local culture. They lead landings, small-boat cruises, walks and onboard briefings, helping guests understand not only what they are seeing, but why it matters. Activities and landing plans remain subject to local, weather and ice conditions.

Science and Discovery
HX’s Science Centres bring each destination into sharper focus through microscopes, underwater drones, samples, workshops and expert-led presentations. Guests can also participate in Citizen Science projects, contributing observations and data to real research programmes. HX currently involves guests in at least two Citizen Science projects on each voyage.

Comfort Between Adventures
Return from a day among glaciers, wildlife or remote communities to Scandinavian-inspired surroundings created for relaxation and discovery. Depending on the ship, guests can enjoy panoramic lounges, saunas, hot tubs, pools, fitness facilities and comfortable cabins. The fleet ranges from the intimate 90-guest MS Santa Cruz II to the 490-guest hybrid ships MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fridtjof Nansen.
