Why Sail with AE Expeditions?

AE Expeditions is designed for guests who want to spend less time simply observing a destination and more time exploring it. Expedition voyages carry a maximum of 130 guests, creating a small-group experience where Zodiac cruises, shore landings and guided adventures are at the heart of each day.

Plans remain flexible, allowing the Expedition Team to respond to wildlife, weather, ice and local conditions rather than following an unnecessarily rigid schedule. Back onboard, a fleet of modern purpose-built ships provides a comfortable base for adventures across Antarctica, the Arctic and some of the world's most remarkable coastlines.

Small Ships, More Time Exploring

Keeping expedition voyages to a maximum of 130 guests makes a noticeable difference once you reach the destination. Smaller groups mean less time waiting, more opportunities to join excursions and a more personal atmosphere both ashore and onboard. Whether you are Zodiac cruising beneath icebergs, hiking across Arctic tundra or watching wildlife from the shore, the focus remains firmly on experiencing the destination.

Adventure Beyond the Zodiac

AE Expeditions is particularly strong for guests who want to get actively involved. Alongside included shore landings, Zodiac cruising, walks, wildlife watching, photography and the famous Polar Plunge, selected voyages offer activities such as sea kayaking, paddling, snorkelling, scuba diving, snowshoeing, ski touring and alpine trekking. Activities vary by itinerary and some carry an additional charge.
