There are just 6 months left until the launch of MSC World Europa which will bring a whole new world of cruising to life. This ship will be more innovative and environmentally friendly than ever before, not to mention all the exciting experiences which people will be surprised is even possible at sea! This beauty is due to start sailing on the 20th of December 2022 for the ultimate winter cruise.
The Promenade – the breath-taking core of the ship
One of the many incredible spaces on this vessel is the 104-metre long, 7 deck-high World Promenade which is outdoors. The beautiful Promenade opens up onto the aft of the ship and offers breath-taking sea views or port views, there is lots of entertainment going on in the promenade and many al-fresco dining options so this really is the place to be day or night. The promenade is perfect to enjoy some of that holiday sun, there is also outstanding architecture to enjoy around the promenade including the centrepiece of the area which spans 11 decks called The Venom Drop @ The Spiral. The amazing thing about this masterpiece is that not only is it stunning to look at but it is also an entertainment attraction that you can slide down! If you are feeling brave you can give it a go as this is the longest dry slide at sea, you will be traversing down 74 metres, you couldn’t get a quicker way to get from the top of the ship to the bottom whilst enduring a fun, memorable and exhilarating slide.
There is also the indoor promenade, the World Galleria connecting to the outside promenade which hosts a space of 303m2 and features an awe-inspired LED and kinetic dome ceiling. The World galleria is an ideal place to satisfy all of your shopping needs as well as your food and drink cravings as there is a wide range of shops, boutiques, bars, and restaurants that are lined up waiting to be tried out.

MSC World Europa is going to offer a choice of 33 different unbelievably tasty restaurants, classy bars, and lounges which will all be unique with their globally inspired menus and top-tier culinary artistry. Restaurants, bars, and lounges on board will be serving up a wide range of great quality ingredients, rest assured that every dish or drink that is brought to you, will have been made with passion and authenticity, helping to create long-lasting memories of your exceptional dining and drinking experiences onboard.
MSC World Europa will offer a stunning variety of 13 different restaurants, including 6 speciality restaurants. Not only will there be loads of restaurants to choose from, this ship will also feature the two new fresh concepts for MSC Cruises: The Chef’s Garden Kitchen and La Pescaderia.
The Chef’s Garden Kitchen offers the first hydroponic garden experience at sea, here you will find ingredients such as micro herbs, garnishes, and salads taking centre stage as they are grown and harvested on board the ship. La Pescaderia will be the key Mediterranean fish restaurant, here you can experience the freshest fish at sea. This restaurant will have hints of sophistication but will also be casual and perfect for family dining, a must experience for all guests to enjoy! You can also experience MSC’s first Microbrewery onboard along with the ship’s 7 brand-new cool bar and cafe concepts including a gin-inspired bar, a mixology-inspired cocktail bar, and many more.

MSC World Europa will have the largest children’s out of all their ships, with over 766m2 of interior space and 7 rooms to suit age groups from 0-17 years old. Entertainment for the kids onboard will have even more variety than ever before. Talent show formats will be created and shown in The Studio, Luna Park Arena, and The World Theatre. Thanks to the longer opening hours of the kids and teens club, youngsters will be able to take part in other attractions on Europa, such as bumper cars, dry slide, and the virtual room.

New Modern Accommodation
MSC World Europa features brand new cabin designs, the most balconies on any ship in their fleet and more suites have their own private whirlpools. There will be 7 new innovative cabin types in total and perhaps the most exciting of all is the Infinite Ocean View Cabins which have a panoramic window that turns into a glass balustrade when open.
An Environmentally Advanced Ship
MSC World Europa will be the first ship in its fleet to be powered by LNG (Liquified Natural Gas). This fuel is one of the cleanest marine fuels and it is set to play a huge role in the future of cruising. It eliminates local air pollutants such as sulfur oxides and reduces nitrogen oxides by up to 85%. LNG will play a key role in climate change as it also reduces CO2 emissions by 25%, therefore paving the way for sustainable alternatives such as green hydrogen to be implemented in the future.
MSC World Europa will also feature a catalytic reduction system, shore-to-ship power connectivity, advanced wastewater treatment systems, and also an underwater noise management system to help reduce the impact on marine mammals.
Exciting Itineraries
MSC World Europa will start her journey in the Gulf giving guests the most luxurious winter cruising experience. She will officially begin on the 20th of December when she sails from Doha in Qatar to Dubai in the UAE. After this voyage guests will then have the chance to go on 7-night cruises from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, Sir Bani Yas Island, Saudi Arabia, Al Ahsa (A UNESCO World Heritage Site), and many more exciting destinations.
After the voyages are completed around the Gulf she will head back to the Mediterranean Sea on the 25th of March 2023 for exciting itineraries that include Naples, Genoa, Barcelona, and Marseille.
