Day 1: Sacred Valley stay & Chinchero visitFly from Lima to Cusco, where upon you're arival you'll head to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. En route you'll visit the Chinchero community to have a demonstration of weaving techniques that have been passed down from one Quechua-speaking woman to another for centuries.
Day 2: Full Day Sacred Valley visitSpend the day touring the Sacred Valley, including Pisac, Ollantaytambo & Chincheros.Visit Pisac's colourful traditional market as well as the archaeological site. Explore the wonderful Inca town and ruins of Ollantaytambo and Chinchero where you can visit the famous church and the massive Inca stone wall in the main plaza, which has ten trapezoidal niches.
Day 3: Urubamba to Aguas Calientes & Visit to Machu PicchuAn early morning awaits in order to embark on the two-hour train journey passing through river canyons and rolling hills en route to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Here you'll tour some of the most important parts of this Wonder of the World including the House of the Guardian, Intihuatana, Temple of the Sun, Sacred Plaza and other key locations..jpg)
Day 4: Cusco City TourToday you will tour Cusco, the former capital of the Inca Empire. Koricancha, which was the most sacred and most important temple in the Inca Empire. You'll then head to Cusco Cathedral, located on the stunning Plaza de Armas, built between 1560 and 1654 on top of the foundations of an existing Inca temple. Your next stop is the imposing Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which sits on a hill above Cusco, offering beautiful panoramic views of the city. The final stop is the Tambomachay Archeological Complex which completes the tour of Cusco.
Day 5: Cusco to LimaYour Peru tour continues today, after breakfast you'll be transferred to Cusco airport where you will fly back to Lima and transfer to your hotel in Peru's capital city. Lima, perched high on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is packed full of thousands of years of history ready or you to discover.
Day 6: Lima The City of KingsEnjoy a half-day tour of Lima where you'll visit some of city's most imporant sights. From Huaca Pucllana in the heart of Miraflores, to the historic center of Lima and the beautiful Plaza de Armas (Lima’s main square) which is surrounded by impressive colonial and Republican-era buildings. Nearby you'll also explore the Convent of Santo Domingo, founded in the 1530s and completed in 1766, it is one of the most important religious buildings in Peru.
Day 7: Fly from Lima to the UKYour Peru tour concludes today, after breakfast you'll be transferred to Lima airport where you will fly back to the UK.
