Windstar Cruises
Windstar Cruises offers private yacht-style voyages to breathtaking destinations. Sail to hidden harbours and exotic islands, enjoy fine dining and personalised service, and experience a relaxed, intimate atmosphere perfect for authentic exploration and pure adventure.
Why Choose Windstar Cruises?
Windstar Cruises combines the freedom of a private yacht with intimate ships carrying no more than 342 guests. Choose between Wind Class sailing yachts with real working sails and all-suite Star Class yachts, then explore smaller harbours, hidden coves and destination-rich itineraries with longer stays ashore. With more than 36 years in Tahiti and dining shaped by its partnership with the James Beard Foundation, Windstar offers a relaxed, personal way to see the world.

Tahiti & French Polynesia
Windstar has spent more than 36 years exploring Tahiti and French Polynesia, with year-round sailings designed around the islands rather than a single headline port. Visit between six and eleven islands across the Society, Tuamotu and Marquesas archipelagos, with Star Breeze joined by Wind Star from March 2027. Selected itineraries include Windstar’s complimentary Bora Bora Destination Discovery Event, combining a private motu feast with traditional Polynesian fire dancing beneath the stars.

Real Working Sails
Windstar’s Wind Class brings the romance of sailing to three intimate yachts with real working sails. Wind Star and Wind Spirit each welcome just 148 guests, while flagship Wind Surf carries 342. Refreshed through the Setting Sails programme, these graceful yachts combine wide teak decks and a relaxed atmosphere with access to smaller harbours, hidden coves and memorable approaches under sail across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Tahiti and beyond.

All-Suite Yachts
Windstar’s all-suite Star Class yachts combine spacious ocean-view accommodation with the intimate atmosphere of a private yacht. Star Breeze, Star Legend and Star Pride each welcome 312 guests, while the 224-guest Star Seeker introduces a new generation of suites, dining and outdoor spaces. Sister ship Star Explorer joins the fleet in December 2026, expanding the choice of small-ship voyages across Europe and further afield.

James Beard Dining
Windstar is the Official Cruise Line of the James Beard Foundation, with a longstanding partnership that brings recognised culinary talent and destination-inspired menus onboard. Selected culinary cruises feature a guest chef, cooking demonstrations, market visits and hosted dinners, while dishes created with James Beard Foundation chefs appear across the fleet. Open-seating dining and included speciality restaurants keep the experience relaxed and flexible.

Closer to the Destination
With no more than 342 guests onboard, Windstar’s yachts can reach smaller harbours, scenic waterways and anchorages beyond the reach of many larger ships. Later departures and selected overnight stays create more time ashore, while the yacht’s marina opens directly onto the sea for complimentary kayaking, paddleboarding and swimming when conditions allow. Open Bridge visits, local performances and Destination Discovery Events bring you even closer to every journey.
