Windstar’s private motu experiences are among the highlights of its Tahiti voyages. Spend a relaxed day beside the lagoon at Motu Mahaea near Taha’a, with swimming, snorkelling, paddleboarding and a barbecue prepared by the crew. On selected itineraries, the complimentary Bora Bora Destination Discovery Event brings guests together for a private beach feast followed by traditional Polynesian dancing and a fire performance beneath the stars.

Star Breeze welcomes 312 guests in spacious ocean-view suites, each offering a separate sitting area, generous storage and an updated bathroom. Dining is included across the ship, with options ranging from Amphora and Candles to the relaxed Yacht Club Café and Star Grill.
The yacht’s size creates an easy balance between space and intimacy. Caitlin found that even the entry-level Star Porthole Ocean View Suite felt considerably larger than a typical cruise cabin, while public areas such as the Yacht Club provided peaceful places to enjoy the scenery between islands.
Wind Star in Tahiti
From March 2027, Wind Star joins Star Breeze in French Polynesia as a year-round Papeete-based yacht. Carrying just 148 guests, her billowing sails, open decks and intimate atmosphere offer a distinct way to experience the Society Islands.
Wind Star will primarily operate the seven-night Dreams of Tahiti itinerary, visiting islands including Moorea, Raiatea, Huahine and Bora Bora. Her arrival gives guests the choice between the romance of a sailing yacht and the spacious all-suite experience of Star Breeze.
