Why Choose Havila Voyages?
Havila Voyages offers a different way to experience Norway, following the historic coastal route between Bergen and Kirkenes through fjords, islands, Arctic landscapes and communities connected by the sea. Four modern ships sail the coast throughout the year, calling at 34 ports and combining panoramic Scandinavian design with locally inspired dining and quieter, lower-emission technology. Choose the complete 12-day round voyage, sail north or south, or discover a shorter stretch of this remarkable coastline.

Norwegian Coast, Up Close
The complete Havila round voyage covers approximately 2,500 nautical miles between Bergen, Kirkenes and back again, calling at 34 ports along the way. Some stops offer several hours to explore, while others are brief calls that reveal how the coastal route continues to connect communities across Norway. Sail through dramatic fjords, cross the Arctic Circle and experience places including Ålesund, Trondheim, Tromsø and the Lofoten Islands as part of one continuously changing journey.

Coastal Cuisine
Havila’s Food Stories concept celebrates Norwegian ingredients and culinary traditions, with produce selected from local and regional suppliers along the route. Rather than relying on a traditional buffet, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served from à la carte menus in Havrand, allowing guests to explore a changing collection of smaller dishes while helping reduce food waste. Havly Café offers relaxed alternatives, while Hildring Fine Dining creates a more intimate culinary experience.

Four Seasons
Norway’s coast changes dramatically with the seasons. Winter brings snow-covered mountains, polar nights and opportunities to see the Northern Lights, while spring introduces longer days and landscapes beginning to awaken. Summer brings the extraordinary Midnight Sun north of the Arctic Circle, and autumn surrounds the fjords and islands with richer colours as the nights begin to darken again. Havila sails throughout the year, allowing the season itself to become part of the experience.

Next-Generation Ships
Havila Capella, Havila Castor, Havila Polaris and Havila Pollux were built between 2021 and 2023, each welcoming up to 640 passengers with 179 cabins. Interiors take inspiration from Norway’s sea, mountains, sky and glaciers, while large windows, panoramic lounges and outdoor spaces keep the scenery close throughout the voyage. Cabins range from comfortable inside accommodation to spacious sea-view suites, creating a contemporary base for days spent exploring the Norwegian coast.

Silent Technology
Havila’s four ships combine large battery packs with LNG propulsion and energy-efficient hull designs. The batteries allow the ships to sail for up to four hours using battery power, while shore power can be charged using Norwegian hydropower where available. Heat recovery systems, reduced single-use materials and a strong focus on limiting food waste extend Havila’s environmental approach beyond the technology beneath the waterline.
