Virgin Voyages has redefined cruise loyalty with the Sailing Club, a refreshingly simple programme designed to reward you every time you sail. With no points to track and no complicated spend-based tiers, it offers a straightforward way to unlock valuable perks and enhance your experience at sea.

Instead of focusing on how much you spend, the Sailing Club rewards you for how often you sail. The more voyages you complete, the more benefits you unlock, making it one of the most accessible and rewarding loyalty programmes in cruising today.

How Does the Virgin Voyages Sailing Club Work?

The Sailing Club automatically enrols you after your first completed voyage, with no need to sign up or pay a membership fee.

Your benefits are based entirely on the number of voyages you’ve taken:

  • After 1 voyage: You become a Sailing Club member
  • After 2 voyages: You unlock Blue Extras on your next sailing
  • After 5 voyages: You unlock Deep Blue Extras

This simple structure makes it easy to understand your progress and quickly start enjoying enhanced perks without navigating complex rules or points systems.

Sailing Club Membership Levels

As you continue to sail with Virgin Voyages, your Sailing Club membership evolves, unlocking enhanced perks and exclusive benefits with each additional voyage.

Sailing Club Member

After your first Virgin Voyages sailing, you automatically become part of the Sailing Club. At this level, you’ll receive exclusive offers, early access to promotions and updates on new voyages. It’s a simple but valuable introduction to the programme, ensuring you’re always first to hear about future sailings and deals while starting your journey towards enhanced benefits.

Blue Extras

Blue Extras are unlocked once you’ve completed two voyages and apply from your third sailing. This level introduces a more enhanced onboard experience, with perks designed to add comfort, convenience and a touch of VIP treatment to your cruise.

Benefits can include priority Sailor Services support, access to an exclusive cocktail event, complimentary laundry service and a daily speciality coffee, helping to create a more personalised and enjoyable experience onboard.

Deep Blue Extras

Deep Blue Extras are unlocked after five or more voyages and represent the highest level of the Sailing Club. This tier is also extended to Virgin Voyages’ Sea Blazers and Sea Rovers, recognising their early loyalty to the brand.

At this level, you can enjoy premium perks such as priority boarding, unlimited premium WiFi, daily speciality coffees, enhanced laundry services and a $100 Bar Tab credit, creating a more seamless and elevated experience from embarkation to disembarkation.

What Makes the Sailing Club Different?

Virgin Voyages takes a different approach to loyalty compared to traditional cruise lines. There are no points to track, no complicated rules and no need to spend more to earn more.

Instead, the programme focuses on simplicity, fast progression and meaningful perks that genuinely enhance your time onboard. Combined with Virgin Voyages’ already generous inclusions, including dining, entertainment, WiFi, fitness classes and gratuities, the Sailing Club builds on an experience that already offers excellent value.

Are Status Match Offers Still Available?

Virgin Voyages has previously offered status match promotions, allowing travellers from other cruise lines, airlines or hotel programmes to unlock enhanced benefits from their first sailing.

These offers are typically time-limited and may not always be available, so it’s worth checking for current promotions before booking if you’re looking to maximise your benefits.

Is the Virgin Voyages Sailing Club Worth It?

If you’re planning to sail more than once with Virgin Voyages, the Sailing Club offers genuine value. The programme is easy to understand, rewards come quickly and the benefits enhance your onboard experience in meaningful ways.

Whether you’re enjoying your first voyage or returning again and again, the Sailing Club ensures each cruise feels more rewarding, more personalised and more enjoyable.
