Norwegian Cruise Line Drinks Packages - Free at Sea
Norwegian Cruise Line's Free at Sea makes it easy to add more to your cruise, combining premium drinks, speciality dining, Wi-Fi and shore excursion credits in one simple upgrade on eligible sailings of two nights or more.
Free at Sea now offers even more value for families and friends travelling together. For eligible new bookings made from 26 August 2026, the package is available to all guests aged 13 and over in the stateroom, with Speciality Dining included. Age restrictions continue to apply to alcoholic drinks, while benefits and charges vary according to the age of each guest.
Whether you're relaxing in The Observation Lounge with a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc, watching the sunset from The Waterfront or enjoying dinner at Cagney's Steakhouse, Free at Sea gives you more of what makes life at sea with NCL special.
Why Choose Free at Sea?
Free at Sea brings some of the most popular extras on a Norwegian Cruise Line holiday together in one convenient upgrade. Enjoy included drinks, speciality dining, Wi-Fi and shore excursion credits, giving you more freedom to dine, relax, stay connected and explore ashore without paying for each benefit separately.
On sailings of seven days or longer, the Free at Sea benefits can offer £1,500 or more in value based on a Balcony stateroom, with the total value varying according to the length of your cruise. For families and groups, the latest Free at Sea changes make the package even more appealing, with Speciality Dining now available to eligible guests aged 13 and over in the stateroom.
What’s Included with Free at Sea?
Enjoy a collection of benefits that enhance every moment of your cruise, combining value with the signature Norwegian experience of freedom and choice.
Free at Sea Is Now Even Better for Families
Travelling with teenagers, grown-up children or friends? Norwegian Cruise Line has made Free at Sea even more rewarding for guests sharing a stateroom. For eligible new bookings from 26 August 2026, Free at Sea is available to all guests aged 13 and over, including the Speciality Dining benefit. That means more of the people you're cruising with can enjoy included speciality dining throughout the holiday, rather than the benefit being limited to Guests 1 and 2.
Premium Beverages
Raise a glass to your holiday with NCL's Premium Beverage Package. Choose from more than 100 cocktails alongside premium spirits, wines by the glass, bottled and draught beer, soft drinks, juices and non-alcoholic beer.
Popular premium brands include Grey Goose, Casamigos and Woodford Reserve, while guests also receive $15 off drinks from the Connoisseur's Collection and Signature Selection, plus a 20% discount on bottles of wine, including Champagne and sparkling wine.
The Premium Beverage Package can also be enjoyed at Great Stirrup Cay, where applicable. Selected premium drinks, Starbucks, bottled water, fresh-squeezed juices and energy drinks are not included with the standard package, and Free at Sea beverage packages are not valid at Harvest Caye.
Speciality Dining
Discover even more of Norwegian Cruise Line's dining scene with included meals at some of NCL's most popular speciality restaurants. Better still, for eligible new bookings from 26 August 2026, Free at Sea Speciality Dining is available to all guests aged 13 and over in the stateroom, making the package even better value for families and friends cruising together.
Your number of included speciality dining meals depends on the length of your cruise:
• 2 to 4 nights: 1 meal
• 5 to 6 nights: 2 meals
• 7 to 8 nights: 3 meals
• 9 nights or more: 4 meals
Choose from restaurants such as Cagney's Steakhouse, Le Bistro, La Cucina, Food Republic, Nama Sushi and more, with venues varying between ships.
Children aged 12 and under can order from the complimentary children's menu in participating speciality restaurants. Additional charges may apply if they choose to order from the main speciality dining menu.
Wi-Fi
Stay connected throughout your voyage with 150 minutes of high-speed Wi-Fi powered by Starlink for every guest in the stateroom. Each guest receives their own login, which can be used on one device at a time.
It's ideal for checking emails, messaging friends and family, browsing online and sharing some of your favourite holiday moments. The standard Free at Sea Wi-Fi allowance does not support streaming, but guests looking for unlimited streaming Wi-Fi can upgrade to Free at Sea Plus.
Shore Excursion Credits
Turn every port into a new adventure with a $50 Shore Excursion Credit for Guest 1 at each port of call. Use it towards eligible Norwegian Cruise Line shore excursions, from snorkelling in the Caribbean and exploring ancient sites in Greece to guided city tours, wildlife encounters and scenic adventures around the world.
The $50 credit can be used towards one or multiple eligible excursions within the same port, helping you get even more from your time ashore. Any unused value at a port is forfeited and cannot be carried forward to another destination.
3rd and 4th Guests Pay Taxes Only
Sailing with family or friends just got easier. On select sailings, the 3rd and 4th guests in your stateroom pay taxes only, when sharing with Guests 1 and 2. It’s perfect for family adventures, reunions, or group getaways. Enjoy fun evenings at The Local Bar & Grill, poolside laughter, and shared memories from ship to shore, all while getting incredible value on your holiday at sea.
Free at Sea Plus
Want to make your Norwegian Cruise Line holiday even more inclusive? Free at Sea Plus builds on the benefits already included with Free at Sea, adding an enhanced selection of top-shelf spirits, premium wines and Champagne by the glass, Starbucks drinks, bottled water, fresh juices and energy drinks.
You'll also receive unlimited streaming Wi-Fi, a 50% discount on the cover charge for additional speciality dining nights and prepaid daily service charges. At Great Stirrup Cay, eligible Free at Sea Plus guests can also enjoy the enhanced premium beverage selection, where applicable.
Free at Sea Plus is available on eligible sailings departing from 1 February 2026 and must be added to a booking that already includes Free at Sea.

By booking as a bundled package, you'll secure the Free at Sea benefits as part of your complete holiday and step aboard knowing many of the extras you'll want during your cruise are already taken care of, giving you more time to relax, explore and enjoy your holiday.
Norwegian Cruise Line The Haven

Guests must meet the applicable minimum drinking age to receive the alcoholic beverage package. Age requirements vary according to where the cruise starts or ends. The number of Free at Sea Speciality Dining meals you receive depends on the length of your Norwegian Cruise Line sailing. Eligible guests receive one meal on 2-4 night cruises, two meals on 5-6 night cruises, three meals on 7-8 night cruises and four meals on cruises of nine nights or longer.
For eligible new bookings made from 26 August 2026, Speciality Dining is available to all guests aged 13 and over in the stateroom, making Free at Sea even better value for families and groups. Children aged 12 and under can order from the complimentary children's menu in participating speciality restaurants, with additional charges potentially applying if they choose from the main speciality dining menu.
Restaurants vary by ship but can include Cagney's Steakhouse, Le Bistro, La Cucina, Food Republic and Nama Sushi.
Yes. Every guest in the stateroom receives 150 minutes of high-speed Wi-Fi powered by Starlink. Each guest receives one login, which can be used on one device at a time. The standard Free at Sea Wi-Fi package is suitable for browsing, emails and messaging but does not support streaming. If you'd like unlimited streaming Wi-Fi, this is included with the optional Free at Sea Plus upgrade.
Guest 1 on the reservation receives a $50 Shore Excursion Credit at each port of call. The credit can be applied towards one or multiple eligible Norwegian Cruise Line excursions within the same port. If the total cost is less than $50, any unused credit is forfeited and cannot be transferred to another port or guest.
Yes. Free at Sea now offers even more value for families and friends travelling together. For eligible new bookings made from 26 August 2026, the package is available to all guests aged 13 and over in the stateroom, including the Speciality Dining benefit. This means eligible additional guests can enjoy the same number of speciality dining meals based on the length of the cruise.
On selected sailings, Norwegian Cruise Line may also offer 3rd and 4th guests for taxes only when sharing a stateroom with Guests 1 and 2, making selected cruises particularly good value for families and groups.
Free at Sea Plus is Norwegian Cruise Line's enhanced upgrade for guests who already have Free at Sea. It adds top-shelf spirits, premium wines and Champagne, Starbucks drinks, bottled water, fresh juices and energy drinks, together with unlimited streaming Wi-Fi, prepaid daily service charges and 50% off the cover charge for additional speciality dining nights.
Free at Sea Plus is available on eligible Norwegian Cruise Line sailings departing from 1 February 2026. Your booking must already include Free at Sea, and Free at Sea Plus must be selected at least 72 hours before sailing. Eligibility and pricing can vary according to the guests travelling in the stateroom.
For eligible new bookings made from 26 August 2026, Norwegian Cruise Line's updated Free at Sea proposition is available to all guests aged 13 and over in the stateroom, including the Speciality Dining benefit. Individual package inclusions can vary by age, particularly for alcoholic beverages, and younger children have separate dining arrangements.
Free at Sea must be selected no later than 24 hours before sailing and all guests in the stateroom must be booked under the same applicable Free at Sea promotion.
Yes, Free at Sea can often be combined with other Norwegian Cruise Line promotions and exclusive Paramount Cruises packages. This allows you to enjoy even more value when you book.
You may see some agents promoting “Free at Sea for free” or offering “FREE Drinks” and “FREE Wi-Fi,” but the reality is that Free at Sea is not a complimentary add-on from Norwegian Cruise Line. It’s a paid-value upgrade that delivers real benefits at a reduced rate compared to onboard prices.
For example, the Premium Beverage Package is sometimes advertised as being “worth over $900 per person,” but that value is based on the full onboard purchase price, which is only available during the first two days of a cruise. Very few guests ever buy it that way because booking Free at Sea in advance offers far better value.
At Paramount Cruises, transparency matters. Every Paramount Package includes Free at Sea as standard, meaning your drinks, dining, Wi-Fi and excursion credits are genuinely part of your holiday price, with no hidden extras and no misleading claims.
