A Cunard Signature Package isn’t a drinks package in the usual sense. It’s a bundle of drinks, Wi-Fi and a speciality dining credit, priced per person per day from £40 to £70 depending on how long you’re sailing. Whether it’s worth buying comes down to three things: how much you’d actually drink, whether you’d pay for Wi-Fi at sea anyway, and whether everyone in your stateroom wants the same package, because Cunard requires them to match.
This guide walks through the prices, what’s included and the maths for a typical sailing. If you want to see what’s currently available, our Cunard cruises page lists every sailing we hold.

30-second view: which Signature Package suits which guest?
| You typically… | Package worth shortlisting |
|---|---|
| Drink wine with dinner and one or two cocktails or beers a day, and want Wi-Fi for emails and messaging | Signature Package |
| Prefer champagne, premium spirits or higher-end wines, and want Wi-Fi for streaming or video calls | Premium Signature Package |
| Rarely drink alcohol | The Alcohol-Free or Premium Alcohol-Free Collection, sold on their own |
| Travel as a couple where one drinks and one doesn’t | Usually neither, because Cunard requires every eligible guest in the stateroom to buy the same package |
| Sail 15 nights or more | Either package, at its lowest daily rates (£50 Signature, £60 Premium) |
The package’s value depends far more on your drinking habits than on cruise length. Cunard’s same-stateroom rule means a couple where one of you drinks little is choosing between two packages or none. There’s no middle ground.

How much does a Cunard Signature Package cost?
| Voyage length | Signature (per person per day) | Signature dining credit | Premium Signature (per person per day) | Premium Signature dining credit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1–6 nights | £70 | US$15 | £80 | US$25 |
| 7–9 nights | £60 | US$25 | £70 | US$40 |
| 10–14 nights | £60 | US$50 | £70 | US$80 |
| 15–74 nights | £50 | US$70 | £60 | US$100 |
| 75+ nights | £40 | US$100 | £50 | US$150 |
The longer you sail, the less you pay per day and the bigger your dining credit. Premium Signature is always £10 a day more than Signature for the same voyage.

What’s in each Cunard Signature Package?
Cunard Signature Package. The mid-tier bundle. You get the Beverage Collection (wines by the glass, beers, cocktails and soft drinks up to US$13.50 a drink), Essential Wi-Fi for email, messaging and browsing, and a dining credit to spend in Cunard’s alternative restaurants. Cunard’s 18% service charge on drinks is included, so there’s nothing extra to pay at the bar. See our Cunard drinks packages page for the full inclusions list.
Cunard Premium Signature Package. The higher tier upgrades all three parts: the Premium Beverage Collection (drinks up to US$20 each, including champagne and premium spirits), Premium Wi-Fi for streaming, video calls and sharing photos, and a larger dining credit. It’s worth considering on longer voyages, and on Queen Mary 2 crossings where you’ll have more evenings to fill.
Both packages allow up to 15 alcoholic drinks per person per day, counted from 6am to 6am. The choice between them is really a question of how often you’d reach for a premium spirit or a better glass of wine.

What if you don’t drink alcohol?
Both Signature Packages already include everything in the Premium Alcohol-Free Collection. If you don’t drink alcohol at all, Cunard also sells the Alcohol-Free Collection and the Premium Alcohol-Free Collection on their own. For non-drinkers, one of these is usually better value than a Signature Package.
The dining credit, explained
The lesser-known part of both packages is the dining credit, which you can spend in Cunard’s alternative restaurants and selected dining experiences. Cunard sets the credit by voyage length only, so it doesn’t change with your stateroom grade. It runs from US$15 to US$100 with the Signature Package and from US$25 to US$150 with Premium Signature, as shown in the table above.

When the package is worth buying
Take a couple on a 7-night Queen Mary 2 crossing. The Signature Package costs £840 for the two of you (2 guests × 7 nights × £60) and comes with US$25 of dining credit. Premium Signature costs £980 (2 × 7 × £70) with US$40 of credit. Prices on board every Cunard ship are in US dollars, so compare those totals with what you’d otherwise spend on drinks and Wi-Fi in dollars.
As a rough guide, the Signature Package makes sense if you’d have a few drinks every day and would use the Wi-Fi. Premium Signature is harder to justify on shorter sailings, and pays off on longer voyages where the premium drinks actually get drunk.
“The package question is the one I ask earliest. A couple where both drink wine and eat in a speciality restaurant once should buy the Signature. A couple where one drinks little is usually better off with zero packages, because Cunard requires both guests in a cabin to choose the same option. The Premium only pays off on 10+ night voyages or when guests specifically drink premium spirits. The mistake I see is people defaulting to two Premium packages on a seven-night Queen Mary 2 crossing, at that length and spend, the maths almost never works out.”

Booking rules worth knowing
You can buy a Signature Package when you book, or add it to an existing booking. Every eligible guest in the stateroom must buy the same package. This is the rule that turns a “one of us drinks, one doesn’t” couple into either two packages or none, and our specialists’ usual advice in that case is to skip it.
Under-18s are covered differently. A child sharing with only one adult pays the adult package price and receives the Alcohol-Free Collection instead of alcoholic drinks. Third and fourth guests aged 17 or under aren’t charged and also receive the Alcohol-Free Collection.

How Cunard Signature Packages compare to fare-inclusive lines
If the maths on a Cunard package looks marginal, it’s worth knowing that more of the luxury cruise market now includes drinks and dining as standard. Lines like Silversea, Regent Seven Seas and Oceania build the equivalent of a Premium Signature Package into the headline fare. The trade-off is a higher base price, but per night it can work out lower than a Cunard fare plus package.
This isn’t a reason to switch lines. Cunard’s appeal is the ships and the sense of occasion, not the inclusions. But it’s worth knowing when you compare the total cost of your holiday.

FAQs
How much is the Cunard Signature Package?
From £40 to £70 per person per day, depending on voyage length: £70 for 1–6 nights, £60 for 7–14 nights, £50 for 15–74 nights and £40 for 75 nights or more. Premium Signature is £10 a day more in every band.
Are Cunard Signature Packages worth it on a transatlantic?
Often, yes. On a 7-night Queen Mary 2 crossing a couple pays £840 for the Signature Package, which suits guests who’ll have a few drinks every day and use the Wi-Fi.
Can I share a Cunard Signature Package with my partner?
No. Cunard requires every eligible guest in the stateroom to buy the same package, so “one of us has it, one of us doesn’t” isn’t an option.
Is there a limit on drinks?
Yes. You can have up to 15 alcoholic drinks per person per day, with each drink up to US$13.50 on the Signature Package or US$20 on Premium Signature.
Is the service charge on drinks included?
Yes. Cunard adds an 18% service charge to bar and wine purchases, and it’s included in the drinks packages.
Can I add a package to an existing booking?
Yes. Cunard lets you add a package to an existing booking as well as buy it when you book. Call us on 020 7947 0270 and we’ll add it for you.
What if I don’t drink alcohol?
Cunard sells the Alcohol-Free Collection and the Premium Alcohol-Free Collection on their own. Both Signature Packages already include the Premium Alcohol-Free Collection.
