To help you prepare for a smooth and enjoyable cruise, we've answered some of the most common questions our guests ask. Whether you're managing your booking, completing online check-in, or simply wondering about dress codes, you'll find everything you need to know right here.
We've designed this FAQ to take the stress out of planning, so you can focus on the fun parts, like choosing shore excursions, exploring dining options, or picturing yourself relaxing by the pool. If there's anything you're still unsure about, our team is always here to help.
You can manage your cruise from the My Cruises section of the Fred. Olsen website and app. Your Fred. Olsen Cruise Line reference number can be found by logging in to your My Trip area. You'll also find your Guest Information Form in the My Cruises section of the site and app.
You can expect to receive tickets approximately 21 days prior to your cruise departure. Your check-in time can be found by clicking the website link on your cruise ticket. Arrive within your allocated time period to ensure a smooth embarkation.

You'll need a valid passport for travel. It must have at least 6 months validity from your date of return to the UK.
Please check the entry requirements for the countries you’ll be visiting, some destinations do require a visa to be organised prior to departure. You can find the latest information at www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice.
Shore Tours are bookable online from approximately 13 weeks prior to departure. If you have registered an email address, you will receive an email from the Destination Experience team, advising you when they are available to view and book through My Cruises.
Each Fred. Olsen ship offers speciality dining venues for an even more indulgent and memorable experience. While all food is included in your cruise, speciality dining offers a chance to try something different for a supplement. You can pre-book speciality dining via My Cruises from 13 weeks and up to 24 hours before departure. You can also book once on board.
The dress code is designed to ensure that you feel relaxed and comfortable during your time on board. Daywear is casual. Evening wear is either Smart Casual or Formal, with optional Theme Nights on longer sailings.
A Fred. Olsen formal evening offers an opportunity to dress up. Most men opt for a dinner jacket or a dark suit and tie. Women often wear dresses, gowns, evening suits, or a sparkly top with smart trousers or a skirt. The exact number of formal nights will be indicated on your cruise ticket. Cruises of various durations typically have the following number of formal nights.
◦ 3 nights or less: Smart casual throughout
◦ 3 - 4 nights: Captain's Welcome Party, but no formal nights
◦ 5 - 6 nights: Captain's Welcome Party + 1 formal night
◦ 7- 12 nights: Captain's Welcome Party + 2 formal nights
◦ 13- 20 nights: Captain's Welcome Party + 3 formal nights
◦ 22 nights +: Captain's Welcome Party + 1 formal night each week
