Celestyal - Frequently Asked Questions

You can manage your cruise through the Celestyal My Booking portal. Your Celestyal booking reference can be found by logging in to your My Trip area on the Paramount Cruises website.

Once you have your Celestyal booking reference, My Booking is the best place to complete your pre-cruise arrangements, access information about your sailing and pre-book available extras such as shore excursions.

Celestyal offers online check-in through the Celestyal My Booking portal, and we'd recommend completing this before you travel to make embarkation as straightforward as possible.

You'll still complete the final embarkation process at the cruise terminal. You'll need to present your e-ticket, passport and any required visa documentation before dropping off your labelled luggage and proceeding to the check-in desks.

At check-in, you'll receive your boarding card. Keep this safe throughout your cruise as it acts as your onboard identification, cabin key and charge card, and will be scanned whenever you leave or reboard the ship.

You'll also be asked to register a credit or debit card against your cabin for onboard purchases.

No. Celestyal does not currently have a dedicated guest mobile app in the same way as many larger cruise lines, so we'd recommend using the Celestyal My Booking portal before your cruise.

If you're sailing onboard Celestyal Journey, you'll find a guest tablet in your cabin. These can be used to access useful information including deck plans, daily activities and entertainment schedules, as well as making selected service requests, ordering room service and, where available, booking speciality restaurants and spa treatments.

The in-cabin tablets are currently a feature of Celestyal Journey, so guests travelling onboard Celestyal Discovery shouldn't expect the same facility.

If you booked before October 7th, 2025, your onboard gratuities (or tips) are already included within the cost of your cruise. For bookings made on October 7th, 2025 onwards gratuities can be pre-paid at the time of booking at a rate of $20 per person per night. If not pre-paid these will be automatically added to your onboard account at a rate of $22 per person per night.

You'll need a valid passport for travel. It must have at least 6 months validity from your date of return to the UK.

Please check the entry requirements for the countries you’ll be visiting, some destinations do require a visa to be organised prior to departure. You can find the latest information at www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice.

Celestyal shore excursions can be pre-booked online through Celestyal My Booking once they become available for your sailing.

You can also book excursions through the Shore Excursions team onboard, subject to availability. However, we'd always recommend booking any must-do experiences before you travel, particularly on shorter itineraries where popular excursions can fill quickly.

Some excursions have particular mobility requirements or dress codes, especially when visiting archaeological sites, churches or mosques, so check the excursion information carefully before booking.

Celestyal One is Celestyal's standard inclusive fare and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, selected snacks, onboard entertainment and activities, Essential Wi-Fi, port charges and gratuities.

You'll also have unlimited filter coffee, tea, water and juice during main restaurant opening hours, plus complimentary free-pour soft drinks with meals in the main restaurants.

Alcoholic drinks, premium beverages and selected speciality dining aren't automatically included, but you can pay for these individually or add credit through CelestyalPay.

CelestyalPay is Celestyal's prepaid food and drink credit, allowing you to add spending money to your account before you sail and use it towards eligible drinks and speciality dining onboard.

It isn't a general onboard spending package, so CelestyalPay credit cannot be used for purchases such as shore excursions, spa treatments or retail purchases.

Celestyal has a relaxed approach to dress during the day, so casual clothing, comfortable footwear and swimwear for the pool are all perfectly suitable.

For dinner in the main dining rooms and speciality restaurants, the dress code is smarter. Dresses or smart trousers are suitable for ladies, while long trousers with a shirt or smart top are recommended for gentlemen. Shorts, flip-flops and very casual beachwear should be avoided in the main restaurants at dinner.

If you'd prefer a more relaxed evening meal after a long day exploring ashore, the buffet-style restaurant offers a more casual option.

Remember that some shore excursions, particularly visits to churches, monasteries and mosques, have their own dress requirements. Shoulders and knees may need to be covered, and women may also need to cover their hair when entering certain mosques.

Yes. Celestyal cruises are generally relaxed, but there are opportunities to dress up and join in with special evenings.

Celestyal hosts themed nights on selected sailings, including its popular White Night and Greek Night, when guests are encouraged to wear blue and white.

On many four and seven-night cruises there is also a Gala Night, which can include the Captain's cocktail hour and presentation of the ship's officers. Guests are encouraged to dress a little more formally for the occasion, although you don't need traditional black-tie cruise wear.

The exact programme varies by itinerary and cruise length, so check your onboard daily programme for the events taking place during your sailing.
