Oceania Cruises Dining: The Finest Cuisine at Sea®
Dining is at the heart of every Oceania Cruises voyage. From French classics and Italian favourites to prime steaks, contemporary Asian dishes and wellness-inspired menus, meals are prepared à la minute and served in an elegant, unhurried setting.
Oceania’s core speciality restaurants are included without a cover charge, while relaxed cafés, poolside dining and traditional afternoon tea offer even more choice throughout the day. Hands-on culinary classes, chef-led experiences ashore and carefully designed wine-pairing dinners make food an important part of both your time onboard and the destinations you visit
Why Choose Oceania Cruises for Dining?

Celebrated Culinary Talent
Oceania’s culinary programme is led by Executive Culinary Directors Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, whose experience spans Michelin-starred restaurants and distinguished European hotels. Master Chef Jacques Pépin remains Executive Culinary Advisor and the founding influence behind The Finest Cuisine at Sea®, helping shape a dining philosophy built around technique, flavour and respect for ingredients.

Crafted À La Minute
Rather than relying on dishes prepared for large-scale service, Oceania’s restaurant menus are designed around food cooked to order. From tableside Caesar salads and carefully grilled steaks to handmade pasta, seafood and French rotisserie dishes, the focus is on individual preparation, presentation and traditional culinary technique. This approach carries from the elegant speciality restaurants to the Grand Dining Room and relaxed venues across the ship.

Ingredients with a Sense of Place
Oceania’s menus are shaped by seasonality, artisan ingredients and the destinations visited along the way. Carefully sourced seafood, meats, produce and speciality ingredients allow familiar dishes to feel distinctive, while regional menus and Chef’s Market Dinners bring local flavours onboard. The same attention to ingredients extends from fine dining to relaxed poolside lunches, afternoon tea and freshly baked pastries.

Elegant, Unhurried Dining
Oceania dining is designed around flexibility rather than fixed sittings and formal timetables. The Grand Dining Room and casual venues operate without assigned seating, allowing you to dine at your own pace and with whomever you choose. Speciality restaurants require reservations, but the atmosphere remains relaxed, with attentive service and time to enjoy each course without feeling rushed.
Signature Oceania Restaurants
Restaurant availability varies by ship. Oceania’s core speciality restaurants are included without a cover charge, although advance reservations are required for dinner in venues such as Toscana, Polo Grill, Jacques, Red Ginger, Ember and Tuscan Steak.

The Grand Dining Room
The Grand Dining Room pairs elegant surroundings with changing menus inspired by Continental favourites and global flavours. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it offers flexible dining without reservations.

Toscana
Toscana celebrates the flavours of Italy through recipes inspired by the families of Oceania’s Italian culinary team. Expect handmade pasta, carefully prepared seafood and regional classics, all served on custom-designed Versace china.

Red Ginger
Red Ginger brings a contemporary approach to Asian cuisine in a calm, beautifully designed setting. Signature dishes combine bold flavours, delicate presentation and influences from across Asia, from Thai curries to miso-glazed sea bass.

Polo Grill
Polo Grill is Oceania’s classic steakhouse, serving USDA Prime Black Angus beef aged for at least 40 days alongside seafood favourites. Traditional tableside touches, polished service and an elegant setting complete the experience.

Jacques
Inspired by Master Chef Jacques Pépin, Jacques recreates the warmth of a Parisian bistro at sea. French classics, slow-roasted meats and beautifully prepared seafood are served in an intimate setting filled with art and personal touches.

Ember
Ember offers an inviting take on contemporary American dining, blending familiar favourites with thoughtful modern touches. The menu ranges from crab cakes and grilled seafood to braised meats and generous salads, served in a relaxed setting.

Tuscan Steak
Exclusive to Oceania Sirena, Tuscan Steak combines the Italian character of Toscana with the steakhouse tradition of Polo Grill. The menu moves easily between hand-rolled pasta, prime cuts, seafood and rustic regional favourites.
Casual Dining & Afternoon Tea
Oceania’s casual dining venues bring the same attention to quality found across the fleet, with relaxed settings, flexible times and plenty of choice. From poolside favourites and wellness-inspired dishes to speciality coffees and traditional afternoon tea, every part of the day is thoughtfully catered for.

Terrace Café
Terrace Café offers relaxed indoor and alfresco dining throughout the day, with breakfast favourites, globally inspired lunches and evening menus featuring seafood, carved meats, sushi and plant-based dishes, all served without reservations.

Waves Grill
Beside the pool, Waves Grill serves made-to-order burgers, seafood, sandwiches, salads and hand-cut fries. Homemade sorbets, sundaes and milkshakes add a sweet finish, making it an easy choice for a relaxed breakfast or lunch.

Aquamar Kitchen
Aquamar Kitchen brings a lighter, wellness-inspired approach to dining, with smoothies, juices, energy bowls, salads, wraps, seafood and plant-based dishes. Available on selected ships, it offers fresh flavours without compromising on satisfaction.

Baristas
Baristas recreates the feel of a European coffee house at sea, serving complimentary espressos, cappuccinos, macchiatos and other speciality coffees. Fresh pastries, croissants and biscotti make it ideal for a quiet morning or afternoon break.

Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea is a cherished Oceania tradition, with finger sandwiches, warm scones, petits fours and delicate desserts served from elegant tiered carts. A selection of teas and live classical music create a refined pause in the day.

The Culinary Centre
The Culinary Centre aboard Oceania Marina, Riviera, Vista and Allura is the first hands-on cooking school of its kind at sea. Each guest works at an individual, fully equipped cooking station while expert chef instructors demonstrate techniques and guide the preparation of every dish.
Classes explore subjects such as fresh pasta, seafood preparation, French cooking and regional cuisines inspired by Oceania’s destinations. Rather than simply watching a demonstration, guests prepare the dishes themselves and leave with practical techniques they can recreate at home

Culinary Discovery Tours
Culinary Discovery Tours take the experience ashore, connecting guests with local food cultures through markets, producers, restaurants and regional experts. Tours may include shopping for ingredients with a chef instructor, tasting traditional dishes or visiting farms, vineyards and specialist producers.
Selected experiences continue onboard with a class or tasting in The Culinary Centre, bringing together the ingredients and traditions discovered during the day. Culinary Discovery Tours are offered on selected sailings aboard Marina, Riviera, Vista and Allura, with availability varying by port and itinerary.

La Reserve
La Reserve offers an intimate dining experience where the food is created around the wine or Champagne selection. Available aboard Marina, Riviera, Vista and Allura, experiences include the Odyssey Menu, La Cuisine Bourgeoise by Jacques Pépin and the six-course Dom Pérignon Experience.
Each menu is paired with carefully selected vintages and presented by Oceania’s culinary and sommelier teams. Reservations are required and a wine or Champagne experience surcharge applies.

Wine-Pairing Experiences
Beyond La Reserve, selected ships offer sommelier-led lunches, Champagne dinners and other pairing events designed for both experienced wine enthusiasts and curious beginners. Menus combine a sequence of dishes with premium and sometimes rare wines, with the sommelier explaining how each pairing complements the flavours on the plate.
Selected ships also offer immersive mixology experiences, including tableside cocktails, barrel-aged drinks and creative alcohol-free options. Availability and charges vary by ship and sailing.
Dietary Requirements and Special Requests
Oceania Cruises offers vegetarian, plant-based and gluten-free choices across a range of restaurants, with additional dietary requests considered wherever possible. Guests should provide full details when booking and speak with the restaurant team once onboard, allowing the culinary team to recommend suitable dishes throughout the voyage.
