Holland America Mariner Society: Loyalty Programme, Benefits & Tiers

The Holland America Mariner Society is the cruise line’s loyalty programme, rewarding returning guests with benefits that become more valuable with every voyage. Membership begins after your first completed Holland America cruise, with five status levels based on the Cruise Day credits you earn from sailing, eligible onboard spending and qualifying suite bookings.

From exclusive offers and onboard discounts to complimentary laundry, priority services and speciality dining, the programme offers increasingly valuable benefits as you progress through each Mariner Society tier.

What Is the Holland America Mariner Society

The Mariner Society is free to join, with guests automatically enrolled after completing their first qualifying Holland America Line cruise. Your membership is linked to a unique Mariner ID number, which should be added to every future booking to ensure your Cruise Day credits, offers and onboard benefits are correctly applied.

There are five membership levels, beginning with One-Star Mariner and progressing through to Five-Star Mariner. Status is based on Cruise Day credits rather than the number of cruises taken, allowing guests to progress through a combination of days sailed, eligible onboard spending and qualifying suite bookings.

Holland America Mariner Society Membership Tiers

Holland America Mariner Society has five membership tiers, each offering a greater level of rewards and recognition the more you sail. Your tier is determined by the number of points you have earned across all Holland America Line voyages.

All Four-Star benefits continue, including complimentary laundry, priority services and the programme’s highest onboard discounts. Five-Star members also receive two complimentary speciality dining experiences per voyage at Pinnacle Grill, Tamarind or Canaletto, a complimentary day pass to the Greenhouse Spa & Salon Thermal Suite and up to $30 credit towards an eligible internet package.

How Do Holland America Cruise Day Credits Work?

You receive one Cruise Day credit for every eligible day you sail with Holland America Line. A seven-night cruise would therefore earn seven Cruise Day credits.

There are also several ways to earn additional credits:

Suite Bonus Credits: Guests who pay a qualifying published fare for an eligible suite or penthouse receive double Cruise Day credits. For example, a guest sailing for ten nights in a qualifying suite would earn 20 Cruise Day credits. Complimentary and selected paid upgrades do not qualify.

Onboard Spending Credits: One additional Cruise Day credit is awarded for every $300 spent on eligible onboard purchases. The maximum number of spending bonus credits you can earn is equal to the length of your cruise. Onboard spending credits are calculated using the combined eligible charges for the first two guests on the same booking.

Alaska Cruisetour Credits: Guests taking an eligible Holland America Alaska Cruisetour receive Cruise Day credits for both the cruise and included land-tour days. Separate pre-cruise and post-cruise hotel packages do not qualify.

Alaska Cruisetours: up to $200 per stateroom

10 to 20-day cruises: up to $200 per stateroom

How to Use Your Membership When Booking With Paramount Cruises

When booking your Holland America cruise with Paramount Cruises, provide your Mariner Society ID number so it can be added to your reservation.

You can find your number on a previous Holland America booking confirmation, your Mariner Society membership information or by signing in to your account on the Holland America website.

If you do not have your number available when booking, it can normally be added to your reservation before sailing. Adding it as early as possible helps ensure that applicable fares, Cruise Day credits and onboard benefits are recognised.
