Dining aboard Explora Journeys is shaped around global flavours, flexible choices and an unhurried sense of occasion. Nine culinary experiences are included in every journey, from Pan-Asian cuisine and Mediterranean sharing plates to French-inspired menus, relaxed all-day dining and 24-hour In-Suite Dining. There are no fixed dining sittings across the ship. Sakura and Marble & Co. Grill require reservations, while Med Yacht Club and Fil Rouge offer open seating with optional bookings. Emporium Marketplace remains open seating, providing an easy alternative when you prefer to let the day unfold without a set dinner time.

Signature Explora Journeys Restaurants
Explora Journeys’ main restaurants each offer a distinct style, atmosphere and culinary identity. Sakura, Marble & Co. Grill, Med Yacht Club, Fil Rouge and Emporium Marketplace are included in the journey fare, while Anthology is an additional fine-dining experience.
Sakura
Sakura presents Pan-Asian cuisine in an elegant setting inspired by Japanese tea rooms. Fresh sushi, sashimi, wagyu and creative Asian dishes are complemented by curated sakes, shōchūs and beers.
Marble & Co. Grill
Marble & Co. Grill reimagines the European steakhouse with carefully sourced meats, seafood and polished service. Rich flavours, elegant presentation and a warm, contemporary setting create a memorable evening.
Med Yacht Club
Med Yacht Club celebrates the sun-soaked flavours of Italy, Spain, Greece, France and North Africa. Sharing plates, fresh ingredients and a relaxed atmosphere capture the easy rhythm and convivial spirit of Mediterranean dining.
Fil Rouge
Fil Rouge brings together global flavours and refined French technique. Elegant breakfasts and imaginative evening menus are served in a calm setting, with signature soufflés, carefully chosen wines and a classic dessert trolley.
Emporium Marketplace
Emporium Marketplace offers relaxed all-day dining through open kitchens and live cooking stations. Choose from destination-inspired dishes, handmade pasta, wood-fired pizza, seafood, charcuterie, patisserie and plant-based favourites.
Anthology
Anthology is Explora Journeys’ signature fine-dining experience, celebrating regional Italian ingredients through a tasting menu created by Head of Culinary Franck Garanger. Reservations are recommended and an additional charge applies.
The Chef’s Table
Available aboard selected newer ships, The Chef’s Table is a private dining experience which provides a more personal culinary occasion beyond the included restaurant collection, with availability, menus and additional charges varying by ship and journey.
Casual Dining, Cafés and In-Suite Dining
The culinary experience continues beyond the main restaurants, with speciality coffee, afternoon tea, poolside dishes, sweet treats and meals delivered directly to your suite or private terrace. Venue availability varies between ships, but every journey includes relaxed choices from morning until late.
Crema Café
Crema Café is a stylish European-style coffee lounge serving speciality coffees, teas and freshly prepared pastries throughout the day. It is an inviting place for a relaxed breakfast, an afternoon pause or conversation over coffee.
Explora Lounge
Explora Lounge pairs panoramic ocean views with light dining, drinks and daily afternoon tea. Comfortable seating and a calm residential atmosphere make it an easy place to meet, unwind or enjoy something small between meals.
In-Suite Dining
Available 24 hours a day, In-Suite Dining brings a choice of dishes to your ocean-front suite or private terrace. Enjoy breakfast, a relaxed lunch, dinner or a late-night bite without leaving the comfort of your Home at Sea.
Gelateria & Crêperie
Available aboard EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II, the Gelateria & Crêperie at The Conservatory serves artisan gelato, freshly prepared crêpes and sweet treats in a light-filled setting beside the pool.
Shore Club on 11
Exclusive to EXPLORA III and EXPLORA IV, Shore Club on 11 brings relaxed poolside dining to The Conservatory. Fresh dishes and coastal flavours are served in a bright setting inspired by carefree summer days beside the sea.
What Dining Is Included?
Every Explora Journey includes dining at Sakura, Marble & Co. Grill, Med Yacht Club, Fil Rouge and Emporium Marketplace, alongside Crema Café, Explora Lounge, 24-hour In-Suite Dining and either the Gelateria & Crêperie or Shore Club on 11, depending on the ship.
Fine wines, Champagne, premium spirits, beers, cocktails, speciality coffees, teas and soft drinks are also included. Anthology, the Chef’s Kitchen, The Chef’s Table and selected rare wines or prestigious spirits carry an additional charge
Additional Culinary Experiences
The Chef’s Kitchen
The Chef’s Kitchen offers an intimate, hands-on culinary experience in a private ocean-front kitchen. Guided by Explora Journeys’ chefs, guests of all abilities work at one of 12 individual cooking stations, learning new techniques and preparing dishes inspired by global flavours and the destinations visited.
More than a traditional cookery class, each session is designed to be relaxed, social and interactive, with conversation flowing between guests and chefs throughout. Once the cooking is complete, the group gathers in the adjoining private dining room to enjoy the dishes they have created together, turning the class into a memorable shared meal.
An additional experience fee applies, and reservations can currently only be made once onboard. Spaces are limited, so booking early in the journey is recommended.
Restaurant Reservations
Reservations are required for Sakura, Marble & Co. Grill and Anthology. Med Yacht Club and Fil Rouge operate with open seating, although reservations can also be requested, while Emporium Marketplace does not require a booking.
Advance restaurant reservations open according to accommodation type:
- Ocean Suites: 75 days before sailing
- Ocean Penthouses: 90 days before sailing
- Ocean Residences: 120 days before sailing
- Owner’s Residences: 180 days before sailing
Repeat reservations for the same venue may be limited to help ensure availability for all guests.
Dietary Requirements and Special Requests
Explora Journeys caters for vegetarian, plant-based and gluten-conscious diets, as well as a range of food allergies and additional dietary requirements. Kosher and halal raw proteins can also be requested, although advance notice of around three months is recommended to allow suitable provisions to be arranged.
Dietary requirements should be provided when booking and reconfirmed once onboard. Explora’s culinary teams can prepare tailored meals for guests with severe allergies, although requirements and potential cross-contamination concerns should always be discussed in advance.
