Day 1 - Fly Mumbai to Delhi
Having cruised up the west coast of India and explored Mumbai we'll be flying you to the capital city, New Delhi, set on the banks of the Yamuna River, where on arrival you'll be met at the airport and whisked to your hotel for an evening at leisure. |
Day 2 - Delhi to Agra
After a leisurely breakfast we'll be leaving Delhi to begin our drive to Agra where we will overnight. In the evening you'll have the chance to visit the world-famous Taj Mahal at sunset. This architectural marvel is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece, fashioned from white marble that stands testimony to the skill of 20,000 craftsmen brought together from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy. |

Day 3 - Train to Sawai Madhopur
From Agra we'll drive to Bharatpur railway station, stopping enroute to visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. This once thriving capital ruled by Emperor Akbar was gradually abandonned leaving a host of well-preserved majestic buildings in this ghost city. From Bharatpur we'll head south by train to Swai Madhopur where you overnight. |
Day 4- Ranthambhore National Park
Welcome to Ranthambhore. this famous national park is the best place to spot wild tigers in Rajasthan. Comprising 1334 sq km of wild jungle scrub hemmed in by rocky ridges, you'll enjoy two jeep safari drives giving you the chance to spot the region's incredible wildlife. |

Day 5 - Ranthambhore to Jaipur
This morning after breakfast leave the wilderness of Ranthambhore behind and drive to the capital of India’s Rajasthan state, Jaipur where you will overnight. |
Day 6 - Discovering Jaipur
First thing this morning you'll be heading to the Amber Fort, a classic, romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Whilst the fort may not look beautiful from the outside, the inside can be described as a virtual paradise. In the afternoon you'll be visiting Maharaja's City Palace, the former Royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. Finally, you'll also stop at Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world |

Day 7 - Agra to Delhi
Today you'll be heading north, returning to India's capital city, Delhi where you will spend the final two nights of this India Golden Triangle tour. |
Day 8 - Exploring Delhi
Get ready for a day of sightseeing in both Old and New Delhi. After breakfast, you'll enjoy a walking tour near Chandini Chowk, the backbone of Old Delhi, a bustling market selling everything from jewelry and fruit and vegetables to spices and homegrown medicinal items. Having admired India’s largest Mosque, Jama Masjid, we'll drive to Raj Ghat where a simple square platform of black marble marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948. The sightseeing continues with visits to Humayun's Tomb, as well as photo ops at the Parliament House, Presidential Palace (Rashtrapathi Bhawan) and India Gate. |
