MSC Cruises <\/a>has announced that Drew Barrymore, actress and host of her show, The Drew Barrymore Show, will become the official godmother of their newest ship, MSC World America<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drew Barrymore will be there for the naming ceremony of the 2nd ship to join the World Series class where she will have the opportunity to cut the ribbon but also to be triggering the traditional breaking of a bottle of champagne on the ship\u2019s bow alongside Orlando Bloom, who co-starred with her during MSC\u2019s Big Game advertising campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The naming ceremony will take place on the 9th of April 2025 and will set sail on a 3-night celebratory voyage to MSC Marine Reserve where there will also be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Marine Conservation Centre which will serve as a hub for scientists and students involved in the Foundation’s Super Coral Programme. When guests dock at the port they can learn all about the programme’s mission to restore coral reefs that have been impacted by climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
