Next, make your way to Republic Street in Valletta to get souvenirs and snacks. Tourists gather here to enjoy the many excellent restaurants, pubs, souvenir shops, general stores, etc. So whether you’re in the mood for food, drinks, or some shopping, this is the place to be! You will also find street entertainers and vendors selling unique handcrafted goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Republic Street’s food does not satisfy you, head to Valletta\u2019s food market to try foods from various international cuisines like Indian, Chinese, BBQ, American, Mexican, and many more. Be warned \u2014 you will have a hard time finding a vegetarian eatery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a good meal, check out the Modern Valletta Waterfront and marvel at the docked ships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no better time to visit Valletta than in February, when you can partake in incredible parades, performances, and float processions. Valletta is an all-year-round destination, but you will find smaller crowds if you plan your trip during winter and spring.<\/p>\n\n\n

Extend Your Stay?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Valletta is an excellent location for a city break, and you’ll need at least two nights to see all the attractions and genuinely enjoy the nightlife. However, we suggest staying at least three nights or more to get a taste of the local culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consider extending your stay in Malta to a week, as this will allow you to explore the sister islands of Comino and Gozo, which are legendary destinations. Proceed to Gozo and delight yourself in the crystal clear water of the Blue Lagoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comino island also offers some great swimming and snorkelling opportunities. Santa Maria Bay is a must-visit spot for those wishing to marvel at the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
