Royal Caribbean <\/a>have today unveiled an incredible line-up of more than 20 dining venues that will feature onboard their brand new ship, Wonder of the Seas<\/a>, which is due to set sail in March this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the most anticipated venues will be the debut of The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar<\/strong>. At Paramount Cruises<\/a> we’re big fans of country music and Southern comfort food<\/a>, so we’re very excited to discover this new casual speciality dining venue which will set the scene with a farmhouse-style, rustic d\u00e9cor and live country music. There will even be a cosy porch decked out with a swing for those looking for that perfect Insta-worthy photo op.<\/p>\n\n\n

On the menu you’ll find southern staples as well as a new twists on classics the whole family can enjoy for brunch, dinner and late-night bites. Kick off your day with freshly baked buttermilk biscuits (biscuits are not what us British folk may expect, these are soft savoury scones normally covered in a delicious gravy) or some spicy jalapeno cornbread. Brunch favourites range from savoury johnnycakes topped with barbeque pulled pork to the Sweet-Tooth Cinnamon Roll. When it comes to the evenings, highlights include fried green tomatoes, authentic southern fried chicken, crab beignets served with lump crab dip, and shrimp and grits. And for a sweet ending, there\u2019s everything from traditional pies to spiked floats and shakes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus, in order to keep the good times rolling, you’ll be able to explore a robust collection of more than a dozen American whiskeys and a strong lineup of southern libations, such as the classic mint julep dusted tableside with powdered sugar and the Mississippi Moonlight, made with blackberry moonshine, blackberries and lemonade, and served in a chilled mason jar. Whether at a table for family dinner or at the bar for a bite, a nightcap and live music, The Mason Jar looks set to be a happening hotspot day or night.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n
